About

A small shop, deliberately

Bourboun Plumbing has been working in Alamogordo and across southern New Mexico since 1997. Family owned and operated, the whole way through.

Their own description of the business puts it better than we could:"We opened our doors in 1997 as a small operation and since then we have grown a bit, but we are still keeping it small to keep quality up and costs lower for the consumer."

That's the whole philosophy, and it's why the reviews say what they say. Across every review site, the same four things come up: they turn up fast, they call ahead, the price is fair, and they clean up after themselves. Nobody is describing a national brand experience — they're describing a plumber who lives down the road.

The work is residential plumbing, remodels and new construction, plus gas fitting on the same licence. Hundreds of permitted jobs in Otero County over the years. Water heaters, drains, sewer lines, repipes, softeners, fixtures — the flyer has said "no job too big or too small" for a long time and it's still the operating principle.

We're based on San Pedro Drive in Alamogordo and we work across southern New Mexico — the basin, the Sacramentos, and further out when you need us. When you call, you're talking to the shop, not a call centre.

Plumbing only

Residential, remodel and new construction, across southern New Mexico.

Why the licence number is on every page

New Mexico doesn't let a homeowner or a handyman do permitted plumbing work — the state's own residential construction guide says a homeowner may not perform plumbing work unless they sit and pass the Construction Industries Division exam for it. The licensed plumber on the job is the one responsible for getting it inspected.

Most plumbing companies around here don't print their licence number anywhere. Ours is in the footer of every page: CID #388571. You can check it, and you should — for any contractor, not just us.

The spelling

It's Bourboun — B-O-U-R-B-O-U-N. It's the family name. About half the people who call us say "Bourbon," and that's fine; you'll still find us either way.
